Gulbahaar Kani- Handwoven Pashmina Stole White
This exquisite white stole is a true masterpiece. Made of pure pashmina – the finest grade of cashmere wool, its fibre is hand spun and handwoven in Kashmir. Its superfine texture is a result of a traditional twill weaving method from Kashmir locally called Kani weaving.
The craft is believed to be indigenous to Kashmir. Kanis are the wooden sticks used as spools by the artisan to weave the wonders, colloquially known as Jamawar or Kani stoles. These stoles are so prestigious to wear that they are considered to be an heirloom in several families.
We call it the Gulbahaar Kani Stole after its resplendent blossoming flowers. Some miniature painting and portraits show the Emperor Akbar wearing robes and gowns made of kani pashmina. And so any kani woven garment is considered royal and imperial. This exclusive stole bears the signature of the artisan.
The Gulbahaar Kani stole is sure to add grace and royalty to your style.
